It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Prontera. The birds were chirping, the trees were in full bloom, and the adventurers were all on the move. On this fine day we see guilds all over the Prontera area. For today we turn our attention to one guild in particular. We are looking at the up and coming Infinity guild. Let us see who is over by their guild spot shall we?
Over by the south east guild spot we see a few Infinity members sitting and having some interesting conversations. At the guild spot we see the guild leader Iridescence, also known as Iri to her guild mates, who just recently just got promoted to one of the highest positions that the knight guild can bestow onto someone, Rune Knight. We also see Jasperdafo, known as Jasper to her guildies, a young and upcoming priest, who also reached a rare position amongst the Church of Prontera, Arch Bishop. Others we see at the guild spot, but who are taking a quick rest, are Cheddar Jack, an Assassin Cross known as CJ by his guild mates, Dlk, another new Arch Bishop within the guild, and also Chiapet, who is the daughter of Wesyer, a Royal Guard within the Infinity guild. As we see them at the guild spot we notice Iridescence seems to be a little antsy.
“I need something to do today. After yesterdays horrible WoE I feel like getting some more practice in today. Maybe I can learn some new skills to help give us an edge in WoE,” Iridescence said. “I want to go train somewhere somewhat difficult, that way I can learn to fight better in difficult situations.” Seeing Iridescence so frustrated Jasperdafo chimed in. “Would you like some back up Iri? I could back you up where ever you go,” Jasperdafo stated with confidence. “Really?!,” Iridescence said with excitement “Where should we go then?” Both of the girls put their full thought into thinking of a training spot that would benefit both of them. As they were deep in thought, a big looking character walked in. He had thick clothing and feathers sticking out from the shoulders. He walked up to Iridescence and tapped her on the shoulder. Startled Iridescence shouted “Who’s there!?!” Turning around with full force and spear in hand, she points the spear in the face of the unknown person. “Hey wait! Hold on Iri it’s just me,” the unknown person said with a bead of sweat running down his face. “Oh it’s just your Red” Iridescence said with a sigh of relief. Vulpes Vulpes, also known as Red by his guild mates (who for convenience we will use as well), was just given the rank of Sorcerer from the Mage guild for his hard work and dedication. He is one of the very rare Sorcerers within the Infinity guild. “Red, you can’t just sneak up on someone like that. I could have really hurt you.” Iridescence said in concern. Red replied “I am really sorry Iri. I didn’t realize I was disturbing you. What were you and Jasper so deep in thought about?” Jasperdafo replied “We were trying to think of an area to go to in order to train, especially after that awful WoE we had yesterday.” “Yea I heard about that, it seems like the Valkyrie Alliance dominated once again” Red said in disappointment. “That’s why we have to get better not only as a guild, but individually as well” Iridescence said with determination. “I got it!! I know where we can train” Jasperdafo stated with excitement on her face. “We can go over to Magma Cave in Juno! I heard there were strong monsters there that you would need a good party to do well over there.” “Magma Cave is a tough area though, I have heard that many strong adventurers have lost their lives over there” Red stated with a shiver down his spine. “Well if all three of us go down there together we will have nothing to worry about” Iridescence said with confidence. “I know that if we supply ourselves well and we stick together there is not place that we cannot overcome. So let’s do this, let’s split up and go get supplied and meet back here at the guild spot in 15 minutes. Make sure you get everything you need because it will be awhile before we come back.” All three of them went their separate ways in order to get prepared for the dangerous road ahead. And unbeknownst to them a terrible fate will befall one of them.
As the group split up we follow Red over to the center of Prontera. In front of him is the huge white statue of Odin, king of the gods. Red stands in front of the statue and stares for a few minutes. He then puts his hands together, bows his head and prays to Odin that the group would stay safe on their dangerous quest. He then walks over to the shop to the north west of where the statue is. It is an older looking house, but made with newer materials. There is a big wood door in front of the shop. Red grabs the gold doorknob and walks into the shop. As he walks in he hears a small bell ringing, which is then followed by a women’s voice. “Just a minute” the women said with a frantic sound in her voice. Red replied “Take your time.” As Red looked around he noticed many boxes around the store. Most of them filled with supplies for adventurers. He also noticed a huge machine in the middle of the room, it is a machine used by the tool shop personnel to mix materials in order to make supplies. After looking around for a minute Red noticed a women walking to him from behind the machine. She was a petite woman, with a somewhat long dress. She had long brown hair that went down to her shoulders and a very pretty looking face. Even though she was a beautiful looking woman you could still notice that she was out of breath. It seems that she was using the machine as well because she had a small grease stain on her cheek and also on her dress. “Hello,” she said “I am sorry that I made you wait I was just making some fresh supplies in the back there.” “I noticed, you have a little smug on your cheek and also a little on your dress” Red replied. “Oh, my I must look a mess” the woman said. “No, no you look fine to me” Red replied. “Here allow me” as he took out a handkerchief and a water bottle. He poured some water onto the handkerchief and extended his hand. He lightly wiped away the mark on her face. As he was doing this he noticed that the woman’s face was a little flushed. In his head Red thought “This girl must be a little embarrassed.” Red finished up and said “There it’s all gone, feel better…um I am sorry I never got your name.” The woman, still flush in the face looked up at him and said “Jenny…my name is Jenny.” Still stammering a little she said “Th-Thank you f-for your help.” Red responded “Oh don’t mention it, just glad to help. By the way my name is Vulpes but my friends just call me Red.” They looked at each other for a few seconds then Jenny said, still flushed “Oh, um I am sorry was there something you needed?” Red replied “Actually yes there is I need some supplies to go on a small quest with some of my guild mates.” “Ok what do you need?” asked Jenny.” “Ok I think I will need about 100 white potions, maybe some flywings, and um…oh a few butterfly wings if you could please” Red said with confidence. “How much is some or a few? I need an amount please” Jenny stated. Red replies “Surprise me” with an innocent smile on his face. “A-alright” Jenny said with her face getting redder by the minute “j-just give me a m-moment to add it all up and bring out your supplies.”
While Red is getting his supplies we turn our attention to east Prontera and see what Jasperdafo is up to. We see Jasper walking along the east path up to the Kafra Lady that is set up there. “Hello there miss how may I help you?” the Kafra Lady asked. “Yes I would like to open my storage and get some items from there, if you wouldn’t mind” Jasper said. The Kafra lady replied “Of course, could I get your 4 digit storage code?” “Sure it is 6969” Jasper stated. The Kafra lady giggled a little bit. Jasper yelled “It was my husband’s idea!…sigh.” The Kafra lady entered her code into her computer and said “Ok what would you like to withdraw from your storage?” Jasper replied “Let’s see I will need 50 white potions, 100 blue gems, 50 holy waters, and about 20 flywings” “Ok Jasperdafo, please give me a few moments to gather your items together” the Kafra lady said. “Don’t worry, take your time” Jasper replied. While she is waiting Jasper pulls out a small phone known to by guilds as a Guild Chat. Jasper hit the button and said “Iri? Red? You guys there? Was wondering how getting your supplies was going? Are you guys almost ready?” Jasper waits for a few seconds and gets a reply back. A boyish voice echoes through Guild Chat. It is Red, who says “I am almost done just paying the tab and I will be ready to head out.” After Red stopped talking a woman’s voice came onto the Chat “Iri here, just grabbing those giant flywings from the Kafra shop and I can meet up with you guys back at the guild spot”
After putting her phone away, Jasper turned her attention back to the Kafra Lady. She asked “Are my items ready?” The Kafra lady replied, “Yes they are Jasper, here you are” as she handed Jasper the items, “Is there anything else you need?” “No, no I am fine now, thank you very much.” Jasper replied. “Alright, then have a great day, and stay safe” the Kafra lady said with a smile on her face. Jasper then proceeded down to the guild spot to meet her guild mates to begin their quest to the dangerous Magma Cave.
A few minutes pass and we see the first of our adventurers reach the guild spot. It is Jasper, who sits down next to a big Royal Guard. This Royal Guard was different than the others. If you notice the rings on his fingers and the sword that he carries you can indeed tell that this particular Royal Guard uses some strong magics. He makes monsters pay for even striking him with a flurry of different bolts skills. But don’t be fooled even when he swings his sword he is dangerous. If he were to swing his sword at the right time, be prepared to run for he will summon meteor storms to crush his opponents to death. He is also the husband of Jasper. This Royal Guards name is TG and he is a member of Infinity as well.
“Hey there hunny what are you getting all prepared for?” TG asked. “Hey there TG; and yes Iri, Red, and I are all going to Magma Cave” replied Jasper. “Wait wait! Magma Cave?” yelled TG “That place is a little dangerous don’t you think? Maybe I should come along to make sure nothing goes wrong.” Jasper replied “No no, its ok TG we should be able to handle anything that is over there. Trust me we will be fine.” “Alright but if something goes wrong summon me with your wedding ring” TG said.
Let me quickly explain, when a man and a woman decide to get married they buy a special wedding ring from the Kafra shop. Not only is this ring a symbol of their love for each other, but it also has special powers. These rings have the power to summon your spouse. This makes seeing each other and helping each other a very simple task.
“Alright Hun, if anything goes wrong I will summon you right away” said Jasper. As she said this Red had walked into the guild spot. “Oh hey TG, what’s going on?” “Nothing much Red, just want to tell you to be careful down in that cave” replied TG. “Don’t worry we will. We got everything ready, Iri has giant butterfly wings, and I will keep Jasper’s magic power up so that she can keep us healed and buffed” said Red. “Alright, alright I know I am over reacting. You guys will be fine. Just make sure you guys have fun” TG said as he gave a big smile and gave a big thumbs up. TG continues, “Oh and Jasper later, I got something special for you…you know what I mean” as TG nods his head with a creepy smile on his face. “Oh, TG not here, that stuff is private” Jasper said while her face was getting red all over. As she said this Iridescence had just walked in. “Hey everyone, you guys ready to go?” Iridescence said with a determined look on her face. “Yep, ready to head out” replied Red. “All set Iri” replied Jasper. “You guys ready for the warp to Juno?” Red and Iridescence both responded “Yes.” At that moment Jasper summoned up her magical powers and focused on the sight of the Capital of Juno. When she had the thought in her head she released the magic onto the floor and a warp appeared in front of them. “Good luck you guys” TG said as all three of them entered the portal.
Now we meet our fearless adventurers in the Capital of Juno. This is one of the largest cities in the land. It is also the closest city to Magma Cave that our adventurers can get to. “Oh man I can never get used to that” Red said. “It always makes my stomach churn a little bit.” Jasper replied “Oh, Red…suck it up. I do this kind of thing every day.” “Alright you two quit your arguing and let’s get working” Iridescence said in frustration. The three party members started to move south out of Juno. When they got left the city Iridescence asked “Red can you check the map to double check which way we have to go?” “Sure Iri just give me a second” Red replied. Red then pulled out a map from his supply bag and looked it over. “Ok we are here, and Magma Cave is oooovvvvveeeerrrrrr….ah it’s over here. We just have to go east for about a half a mile and then around a small cliff. Once we get to the top of the cliff we head down the other side and then head back west we should run into the cave there.” “Alright let’s head out” Iridescence said with confidence as she mounted up her dragon and started to lead the way. They started to walk then entire path, running into some weak monsters on the way that they were able to easily shrug off. “Are we there yet?” Jasper said with a whine. “Almost Jasper we just have to go down the cliff here and go like a quarter of a mile to the west and we are there” said Red. They began to head down the slope being careful where their footing is. As all three hit the bottom of the cliff they run into a harpy. This harpy thought that it could attack travelers who let down their guard when they hit the bottom of the cliff. It let out a hellish screech and flew straight for Jasper. Jasper didn’t have enough time to turn around and protect herself. That’s when a big spear glanced past her face. All you heard was a loud shriek of death as the spear ended up piercing the heart of the harpy. “W-what was that?” Jasper asked with a quiver in her voice. It turns out Iridescence did not let down her guard and was able to pull off one of her skills called Pierce. Iridescence with the harpy still on her spear jabbed the spear into the ground. Her dragon stepped onto the bloody corpse so that she may retrieve her spear from the chest of the harpy. “Jasper you have to be more careful, if you don’t things like this can get really bad really fast” Iridescence said with tough stare. Jasper replied “Y-yes, I am sorry Iri; it’s just that I was tired from that walk and the cliff.” “Alright, alright its ok let stop for a few moments and catch our breath. As they sat down on a rock to catch their breath, Iridescence keeps watch for more trouble. About 15 minutes pass and Jasper then says “Ok Iri I am ready to go.” “Ok lets head out and remember be careful” responded Iridescence. The group starts to head west towards the cave. After 10 minutes of walking they finally reach the cave. “Is everyone prepared?” Iridescence asked “Once we go in there is no turning back until we are done.” Everyone looked at one another in acknowledgment and headed in.
“Holy crap!!! It’s friggen hot in here!!!” Red said with and exhausted look on his face. “Well if you didn’t wear all that friggen clothing maybe you wouldn’t be as hot” Jasper said in retaliation. Red responded with “Hey these are traditional cloths for sorcerers!! I can’t just ta-“ “Quit it you two we are here to get better not bicker!!” Iridescence yelled with a serious look on her face. “I know it’s hot in here, but we gotta push through. Just make sure you conserve your water and keep your eyes peeled.” Our three adventurers began to walk the dangerous walk ways of the Magma Cave. Along the way they ran into a few grizzlies, some kahos, and also some blazers. Nothing they could not get rid of with some team work. As they kept marching on they ran into a giant lava golem. “Oh crap” whispered Red “Alright Iri if you can distract it I can try out my new move which should deal massive damage to his massive frame and also stun him. If he isn’t defeated in one attack take it down before it comes to.” Iridescence nodded in approval and headed out. “Jasper I am going to need to you keep me protected while I cast this skill, can you safety wall me?” Red asked. “Of course, what do you think I am a noob?” Jasper said with a smug look on her face. As she said this a roar echoed in the cave. Iridescence had already started to distract the giant beast. Using her dragons speed she was able to run around it confusing the beast and keeping his focus off Red and Jasper. “Safety Wall!!!” Jasper shouted. As she shouted a pink wall appeared around her and Red. “Alright Red I have you cover start your cast” Jasper cried. Red nodded in approval and started to chant. He gathered all of his energies though his body and yelled, “PPPPPSSSYYYYCCCCHHHHIIICCC WWWWAAVVVVEEEEE!!!!!!!” Right then all of these psychic crystal fragments came and surrounded the lava golem. Red waved his arms left and right and as he did so did the crystals. He moved them above the golem, spinning over his head. Red then thrust his hands straight to the ground and when he did every crystal rained down and crushed the lava golem, covering him from head to toe. “Alright Red you did it!!” Jasper yelled. “No not yet” Red answered back. “It’s only stunned I can’t hold him here there forever. Iri finish him off!!” As Iridescence heard what Red had said she looked down at her dragon patted him on the head with an evil smile and told it to head out. The dragon raced towards the stunned lava golem. While the dragon headed straight for it Iridescence held her spear tight over her head. As the dragon past right in front of the golem Iridescence yelled “Clashing Spiral!!!”
As she yelled she thrust the spear forward. But this wasn’t like the skill we saw earlier where it was just thrust straight through. This skill adds a spiraling motion to the spear to help tear up the inside of the monster as well.
The spiraling spear landed eight between the eyes of the lava golem. A mix of blood and lava splattered everywhere. As Iridescence pulled out the spear some lava came with it and hit the iron glove she was wearing on her right hand. “AHHHHH” she screamed in pain. As the dragon ran her to Red and Jasper she frantically took off her glove. “Damn its hurts” Iridescence yelled when she got to Jasper. “Hold still Iri let me take a look. Hmmmm. Ok it looks like the lava didn’t reach your skin, but the high heated iron burned your skin.” After saying that, Jasper put both hands together and concentrated on Iridescence’s hand. “Heal!” Just then a green aura surrounded Iridescence, and her hand started to glow green. A few seconds later the aura faded, and just like that the burn was gone and Iridescence felt a lot better. “Thanks Jasper I don’t know what I would have done if I couldn’t use that hand again” said Iridescence with a happy look on her face. “It wasn’t that big of a deal, I was just doing what I was born to do” replied Jasper. After saying that she looked over at Iridescence glove and said “It doesn’t look like you will get your glove back though.” “It’s alright” Iridescence replied “I can get it fixed when we get back to Prontera.” Iridescence got off her dragon and picked up the damaged glove and put it back into her supply pouch. As she looked up she saw the dead lava golem. She then noticed a small cave entrance. “Look over there it’s the entrance to the second level of the cave.” “We should head down there” Iridescence said with and excited look on her face. “I don’t know Iri should we push it?” Red asked with a concerned look on his face. “If you can take down that lava golem we can take out anything” Iridescence answered back. “Come on lets head out” she said as she hopped back onto her dragon. So the party following Iridescence walked around the corpse of the dead lava golem and headed into the unknown cave.
“Alright guys we don’t know what is on this floor so be on you guard” Iridescence said with a concerned look on her face. As they proceeded forward a Nightmare Terror teleported in front of them. “Crap I hate these things” Iridescence said. Just then a white light engulfed the Nightmare Terror. Iridescence turned around and saw that Jasper had a light white aura around her.
While Iridescence was looking at the Nightmare Jasper had casted a skill called Holy Light, which envelopes shadow monster in light and destroys them.
“What?” Jasper said looking at the rest of the group with a confused look on her face “I really hate shadow monsters.” As the party looked at each other they all laughed simultaneously and kept walking. While laughing and walking then failed to realize that they were walking into small mob of Deleters. One of the Deleters let out a small roar and started the party. “Crap” Iridescence yelled, as she realized where they ended up. At that time, not wanting to risk the party's health Iridescence reached into her supply bag and pulled out a giant flywing.
These are special flywing that can only be bought through Kafra personnel. They act like regular flywings in that they teleport you to a random spot on the map, but instead of just the individual it teleports the entire group engraved onto the wing.
“Go, giant flywing!” she yelled as she pulled it out. Just then three warps appeared under each character and they teleported to another part of the cave. When they landed Iridescence landed about 40 feet from Jasper and Red. Jasper said “Oh man that was close we almost died. Thank God you have those flywings Ir-“ and before she could finish that sentence she got shoved. It was Red who had shoved her. “Red!! What the hell was that for?” Jasper got up and wiped herself off and saw Iridescence in front of her with the most startled look on her face. “What’s going on Iri?” Jasper said while feeling a little more scared. She then turned around and 20 Nightmare Terrors were trampling Red. “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!” Jasper shouted in terror. “FLY WING!!! HURRY!! USED A POT DO SOMETHING!!!” but it was to no avail from where she was it looked like Red was already passed out if not dead. Just then Iridescence and her dragon sprinted past Jasper in an attempt to save Red. Iridescence had the look of a murderer on her face. Every fiber of her being had turned cold and unfeeling for those few moments in an attempt to save Red. Just then a Sky Deleter flew by and ran into Iridescence’s newly healed right hand that was still on 100%. This caused her spear to fall into the lava below and also her Guild Chat phone to fall on the ground. “Son of a bitch” she cried. “I need to save my friend MOVE!!” But the monster wouldn’t move an inch. To add to their problems Jasper noticed behind then a few more Ground Deleters heading their way. “We have to butterfly wing” Iridescence yelled “if we don’t we could be next.” “NOOOOOOOO WE GOTTA SAVE RED!!!” Jasper yelled while tears started to fill her eyes. “We can’t just, just leave him *sniff*” A things looked bleak for our adventurers a small voice yelled out. “Hey!! Hey!! Are you guys alright!! Answer me!!” Jasper!!! Iri!! Red!! Someone pick up!!!” The voice sounded familiar, but neither Iri nor Jasper knew where it was coming from. “Hey!! Pick up damn it!!!” Just then Jasper looked at her feet and noticed the phone. She picked it up, hands shaking and all. “H-help!!!” she cried into the phone. “Jasper? Jasper is that you what is going on?” the unknown voice yelled. “RED IS HURT OR WORSE AND ME AND IRI CAN’T SAVE HIM AND WE ARE SURROUNDED!!” Jasper yelled into the phone, while tears fell down and hit the keys. “Hunny calm down, summon me. SUMMON ME NOW!!” the unknown voice said. Just then it occurred to Jasper who it was. It was TG on the other end. With a ray of hope still in her heart he touched her wedding ring and screamed “TG, MY LOVE, I SUMMON YOU TO THIS PLACE!!” Just then a purple warp appeared next to her and within a few seconds TG was next to Jasper and Iridescence. Without hesitation he leaped at the Sky Deleter in front of Iridescence. Without even stopping he ran past it taking a hit on the way, but little did the Deleter know that because of that hit a rain of bolt skills would land on him. As TG got to the Nightmare Terrors the bolts struck the Deleter into nothingness. At the same time he thrust his sword into the closest Nightmare Terror and whispered into the ear of the beast “Meteor Storm!” Just then TG’s ring started to glow bright red. Then a thunderous noise sounded along with a small earthquake. Just then dozens and dozens of meteors rained down from the heavens and struck the entire monster in the surrounding area. A hellish cloud of black smoke covered the entire area for a few minutes. When the dust cleared every monster around them was gone, crushed into oblivion by the giant rocks. Just then Jasper and Iridescence both ran towards TG and the body of Red. They both looked at TG to see if Red was still alive, but TG just looked away in sadness for his lost friend. In anger and grief Iridescence got off her dragon and punched the ground several times. Jasper with tears still filling her eyes, Jasper let everything go and just fell down crying. TG went to her and held her tight, trying to keep her from looking at the body. As all three were morning the loss of their friend a holy light came down from the sky. All three looked up and saw a heavenly Valkyrie come down from the sky. Her body covered in white and blue armor along with a spear in hand. Her face was beautiful and her hair looked like and angel’s. She said “This one gave his life in order to save his friends. He will be joining the ranks of others before in Valhalla.” In her grief Jasper yelled out “No, you can’t take him!! He isn’t ready to go yet!!!” While Jasper was talking the Valkyrie had already landed next to Red’s dead body. Jasper standing up now said “You can’t take him!” The Valkyrie just stared with an unyielding look on her face. TG than grabbed Jasper’s hand and when she looked back he just shook his head. Unfortunately, this was the time Jasper did not want to hear it. “No!” she said “Not….this…time!” In hear anger and sadness Jasper summoned up a tremendous amount of magic, so much so that the Valkyrie could not help but be brought back by it. “I will not let him leave this world!!” As she said this a gigantic aura surrounded the entire area. Her entire body was glowing white. While everyone was fixated on Jasper, something was happening with Red’s body as well. It too was glowing with the same aura as Jasper. “Look at that!!” Iridescence shouted as she noticed Red’s body. As the white aura began to get blindingly bright everyone heard an echo. It was Jasper, she had yell “Resurrection!” Just then the aura faded and Jasper fell to her knees. She was about to pass out and just before she fell over a hand grabbed her arm. She looked up and she saw it was Red smiling at her. At that moment she passed out because of all the magic she used. Red placed her comfortable on the ground and looked back at the Valkyrie and said “I guess it’s not my time right now. My bond with my friends is something I need to protect.” The Valkyrie looked at him and then at Jasper and said “This one has much magical power. And these other friends of yours the passion to do anything for a friend is outstanding. If they are as close to you as you say they are, protect them. Then she disappeared into the sky. Speechless, Iridescence with some tears in her eyes, hugged Red tightly. “Ow, easy Iri just came back haha.” Red said. Without listening Iridescence didn’t let go. While Iridescence was hugging Red, TG made sure Jasper was ok. When he knew she was going to be ok he gave her a kiss on the forehead and whispered into her ear, “You are amazing Hun. You are not only a great priest but the best wife anyone could ask for.” He turned from looking at Jasper to Red. At that time Iridescence let go of Red. TG stood up and said “Looking good for someone who just died haha.” After saying that Red and TG exchanged some fist bumps and a guy hug. “Alright let me pick up the Mrs. here and we can head out” TG said. He bent down over Jasper and put his hands under her legs and neck and lifted her up. He gave her another kiss on the head and said “Alright lets go home.” That is when they all activated Butterfly wings and headed back to Prontera to relax after the day they had in the “heat.”
